Do You Have A Construction Project We Can Help With?

Clients

For more than three decades, Borderland has delivered quality workmanship on schedule and on budget for Southern Arizona’s public and private heavy civil construction markets. Our team has built many large, complex road, highway, rail, and mass transit projects including several bridges across the Santa Cruz River throughout Pima County and across the Cañada Del Oro Wash in Oro Valley. We have prepared and developed commercial sites for IBM, Weiser Lock, American Airlines, the Walmart Distribution Facility, the new Desert Diamond Casino, Pima Community College Northwest Campus and La Encantada shopping center, among dozens of others. We’ve built subdivision infrastructure for nearly every major home builder in Southern Arizona, including Del Webb’s Sun City Vistoso, Rancho Vistoso, Continental Ranch, Rita Ranch, Heritage Highlands, SaddleBrooke, Rancho Sahuarita and Quail Creek.

Familiarity with local municipalities, utilities, and permitting agencies

Borderland firmly believes that successful partnering and collaboration with clients and stakeholders delivers the most effective and innovative solutions – we have the track record and awards to prove it. Transparency, trust and an “open book” approach promote strong relationships with local municipalities, permitting agencies and regional utility companies.

We have valuable experience with the local government agencies and utility companies associated with the construction industry. Our long-standing presence in southern Arizona has fostered excellent working relationships with partners at Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT), Pima County, City of Tucson, City of South Tucson, Town of Marana, Town of Oro Valley, and Town of Sahuarita. Additionally, Borderland is on the approved contractor list for both Tucson Electric Power and the Trico Electric Cooperative. Our projects typically include close working relationships with Pima County Regional Wastewater Reclamation Department, Tucson Water, Century Link, Comcast, Southwest Gas, and other regional utility providers.

Strong Relationships with Local Suppliers and Subcontractors

Borderland uses its knowledge, experience, and relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to provide exceptional quality and true value for our clients. Because of our long-standing relationships and productive partnerships with material suppliers, we are able to ensure the project receives high quality specified materials on time and at the best market rates available. We are typically able to procure materials in quantities and at times that are not available to all contractors. In addition, we team with highly skilled subcontractors to ensure every aspect of a project is constructed by an expert in the respective trade.
