Central Avra Valley Storage & Recovery Project (CAVSARP)

Borderland built CAVSARP– the first basins that collected Colorado River water from the Central Arizona Project to recharge the water table – a 10 million gallon concrete reservoir that stored the blend of CAP water and groundwater recovered by area wells, and a booster station that delivers up to 54 million gallons of water per day to Tucson Water customers.

The CAVSARP project included 11 basins totaling 317 acres and seven miles of 60” transmission pipe.
